Terms and Conditions
📅 RENTAL PERIOD
The rental period begins and ends on the date and times agreed upon during booking. Your hire is for a standard 5-hour period, unless otherwise arranged.

The earliest drop off may be from 7am and the latest collection time is 4:30 PM.
-
A $49 after-hours fee may apply if collection is required after 4:30 PM.
Setup and pack down times don't affect your agreed hire window.
💳 EQUIPMENT RENTAL PAYMENT

A $250 deposit is required to secure your booking. Dates are not held without this payment.
-
The remaining balance is due 7 days before your event.
-
Payment options are available on request, with the full balance due 1 week prior to the event date.
⚠️ RENTAL EQUIPMENT SAFETY & USE GUIDELINES
To ensure the safe and proper use of Busy Little Play equipment, the hirer agrees to the following terms:
🔍 Inspection at Setup

The hirer must inspect all equipment upon delivery and installation, prior to use.

Any visible damage or concerns must be reported before use begins.
-
Once inspected and signed off, the equipment is deemed delivered in good condition.
📘 Operation & Safety
-
Safety and usage instructions will be provided on delivery.
-
The hirer must follow these instructions and ensure all guests do the same.
-
Adult supervision is required at all times.
-
Equipment must not be misused, relocated, or used in a manner that may cause injury or damage.
❌ Restrictions on Movement & Use

Equipment must remain at the agreed delivery address.
-
Do not rent, sub-hire, resell, or move equipment without our written consent.
✅ Hirer Responsibility

The hirer is fully responsible for the equipment during the hire period.
-
All equipment must be kept in a safe, dry, secure area when not in use.
-
Any loss or damage beyond reasonable wear and tear may result in charges deducted from the bond.
🚚 DELIVERY FEES
Delivery, setup, and pack down is complimentary within 15 km of our warehouse in Hillcrest 4118.
For locations beyond 15 km, delivery fees apply based on four trips:

📄 BOND & SECURITY

A security bond may be requested before hire.

The hirer agrees to provide valid photo ID and a credit or debit card number for the purpose of securing the hire.

This information will be stored securely and destroyed within 48 hours after all equipment is returned in satisfactory condition.

The bond will not be charged unless there is loss, damage, or breach of terms.
✉️ RECEIPT & RETURN OF EQUIPMENT

Busy Little Play retains ownership of all hire items.
-
The hirer may not modify, paint, or alter the equipment.
-
Return includes ensuring all equipment is clean, complete, and undamaged.
⛅️ WEATHER CONDITIONS
-
Equipment must not be used in rain, wind, or extreme weather.
-
Outdoor hires must have a backup indoor option; we will not set up in unsafe weather.
-
Shade must be provided during hot weather to prevent overheating.
🌿 PARKS & COMMUNITY GROUNDS
-
The hirer is responsible for securing permits when hiring for public spaces or council areas.
🚒 LIABILITY & INDEMNITY
-
The hirer agrees to use the equipment legally and safely.
-
Busy Little Play is not responsible for injury or damages during the hire period.
-
The hirer indemnifies Busy Little Play from liability except in the case of gross negligence.
📸 PHOTOGRAPHY
-
Busy Little Play may take photographs of setups for promotional use.
-
By booking, you grant us permission to use these images without compensation.
⚡ EQUIPMENT ISSUES
-
If any equipment does not function correctly, stop use immediately and contact us.
❌ CANCELLATIONS & POSTPONEMENTS
-
14+ days’ notice: Full credit applied for use within 12 months.
-
Less than 14days notice: 50% of fee is forfeited. Bond will be refunded.
-
Less than 48hrs notice: Full fee is forfeited. Bond will be refunded
-
Postponements are treated as cancellations.
🏋️ SOFT PLAY RULES
-
For children aged 0–8 years only (max 50 kg).
-
No shoes, high heels, sharp objects, food, drinks, pets, face paint, glitter, or gum.
-
Adults must not sit, stand, or lean on equipment.
-
The setup area must be flat, clean, and away from gravel or dirt.
-
No open flames or smoking near the play area.
-
Supervision is required at all times.
-
Report any damage immediately.
🏠THE BUSY LITTLE SPACE HIRE TERMS
✅ Booking Confirmation

The Busy Little Space Hire is confirmed with a signed agreement and full payment (or deposit if applicable).
🔓 Venue Access
-
Access is granted only during the agreed hire window.
-
Early access or late departures may incur additional fees.
🚮 Use of Venue
-
Venue must be used only for agreed purposes (e.g., parties, baby showers).
-
No smoking, flames, glitter, confetti allowed.
🚿 Cleaning & Pack Down
-
The venue must be left clean. Excessive cleaning will incur a fee.
-
All rubbish must be disposed of properly. Pack down must occur by the end of hire.

📆 Suppliers & Vendors

External vendors must be approved in advance and have their own insurance.
🎧 Noise & Conduct

Respect our neighbors. Music must end by your hire finish time.

Unsafe or unruly conduct may result in immediate termination of hire.
